Orlun talks to the AI through your own account with an AI provider. An API key is the code that connects the two — it stays in this browser and goes straight to the provider, never to us.

Orlun is in alpha. A few things worth knowing.
What Orlun records
Orlun keeps an activity log on this device — turn counts, session length, whether Mind Fragments are active, when fragments are created or edited — so the Observatory can show you your own usage. It is stored in your browser and kept for 30 days. It is never sent anywhere, because there is no server to send it to: Orlun has no backend, no account, and no database. Your fragments, messages, and conversations never leave your device either.

What Mind Box is
Mind Box is a user-authored cognitive context system. The fragments you write are loaded into every conversation as context for the AI. You control what's written, what's active, and what gets deleted. The AI adapts to your context — not the other way around.

Your API key
Your key is stored in your browser's local storage. It is never transmitted anywhere except directly to your chosen provider's API (Anthropic or Google) in request headers over HTTPS. Orlun has no server. There is no account. There is no database.

Alpha context
This is early software. Expect rough edges. Your experience and feedback directly shapes what comes next.

Terms of use
Provided "as is." Orlun is offered without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It may contain errors or be unavailable at any time.

Not professional advice. Orlun routes your prompts to third-party AI models. Their responses are generated text and may be inaccurate. Nothing Orlun surfaces is medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice — verify anything important with a qualified professional before acting on it.

Your API usage and costs are yours. Orlun runs on your own provider keys and calls those providers directly from your browser. You are responsible for your API usage and any charges your provider bills you. Orlun cannot see, control, cap, or refund those charges, and is not responsible for provider outages, rate limits, or billing.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orlun and its creator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the software — including lost data, API charges, or reliance on AI output. Your use is at your own risk.
